FIRST TECH CHALLENGE
FIRST TECH CHALLENGE
We are a community First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team made up of 4 members from Plainfield, Illinois. FTC is an annual competition where students from around the world build robots to complete game challenges. Through FTC, we are determined to have fun, grow as a team, and impact our community.
We have been competing in FTC for just 1 year, but all have 2-3 years of experience in First Lego League (FLL). So far we have loved the different aspects of First Tech Challenge and are inspired to improve at every robotics meeting. We are driven by our passion!

About the FIRST program
FIRST, founded in 1989, aims to inspire young people’s interest in science and technology through accessible, mentor-based programs. These programs build STEM skills, encourage innovation, and develop essential life skills such as self-confidence, communication, and leadership, preparing students for future education and careers.
FTC Team Agileblast was founded in 2024 by Vineet Gupta. The team is comprised of 4 students, all of whom are attending Plainfield North High School. We all started as First Lego League (FLL) students, and have worked together for over 3 years on the same team. In 2024 the team decided to take on a new challenge, FTC.
Team Impact/Outreach
As a community-based team, we love giving back to our area by actively participating in many volunteering opportunities.

We handcrafted over 200 heartfelt cards for seniors and veterans in our community, spreading joy, appreciation, and a sense of connection to those who deserve it most.
We made posters supporting Lymphoma Research with the motto “A small change makes a big difference”
Engaged with over 80+ individuals in meaningful conversations about the transformative power of volunteering and active community participation, highlighting its profound benefits and lasting impact.
